Abstract: In Austria, ÖNORM B 8115-5 was revised and republished in April 2021. According to this standard, the sound insulation within buildings can be classified. The classification of the impact sound insulation is determined using the standardized impact sound pressure level Ln,T,w along with the low-frequency spectrum adaption term CI,50 expressed as LnT,w + CI,50. Alternatively, it is possible to classify the impact sound insulation using LnT,w and the according to ÖNORM B 8115-4 calculated resonance frequency f0. In ceiling constructions, this resonance frequency can be understood as the mass-spring-mass resonance frequency of the floating screed system. In the first step we developed a method to measure this resonance frequency on small ceiling samples with a dimension of (1230 × 1480) mm². This contribution shows the next step. The method was transferred from the small samples to ceilings in a testing stand with a dimension of (5240 × 4230) mm. In the transfer process, the measurement procedure was further improved. We will show the improved procedure and the results of the measurements, which are then compared with the current method of calculating resonance frequencies.
