Hands-On Workshop: PYFAR - Pyhton Packages for Acoustics Research
* Presenting author
Abstract:
Pyfar aims at providing signal processing methods, plotting functionality, and audio interfacing in a unified framework for acoustics research. It is written in Python, which is a script based and open source programming language with a large scientific user base.
Pyfar is developed with a strong focus on documentation and testing, and is provided under the MIT open source license for unrestricted use. In this workshop, we introduce the most important pyfar functionality through simple examples. Interested parties can follow the examples during the workshop without prior installation in a browser-based online tool on their computer. For more information, please visit pyfar.org.
The workshop is organized by:
Institute for Hearing Technology and Acoustics (RWTH Aachen University), Audio Communication Group (TU Berlin), Institute of Communications Engineering (TH Köln - University of Applied Sciences), Department of Engineering Acoustics (TU Berlin)
